Hi everyone, Just a problem I am having with my laptop with installing windows 10 with my usb stick when it says where would you like to install windows I only have only one drive listed which is drive 0 unallocated space so I clicked it and it says windows cannot be installed on this drive but I dont have any other drives but I tried cleaning the drive with disk part and also try and create a
Right-click any partition which has free space, and select "Resize/Move Partition". Step 2. A pop-up window will appear, and drag slider bar leftwards. Then, you can click "OK". Step 3. Now you can find that there is an unallocated disk space behind the C drive. To save the changes, please click "Apply". Option 2.
Click on Custom Install, and then in the drives section click on delete to clean off the partitions, and once the disk is nothing but free space, select that drive. If you are unable to see that stuff, get your hands on a bootable linux distro, boot off the CD, and run gparted to clean off the disk partitions.

This step involves moving partitions around. We want the C: partition to be immediately next to the unallocated space. Right click on the partition currently next to the unallocated space, blocking the way. Select Move/Resize. In the block labeled Size And Location, there will be a slider.

0 Unallocated space on drive comes when drive lost its file system and unable to locate data location in the storage drive. There is only one option to resolve this issue is by clean formatting of the drive. Either you can format the drive by going to the disk management or use diskpart to clean the drive and redefine the file system. The indication is that your drive has failed and you would need to replace it before you could reinstall Windows. To check the drive you have to follow these steps: 1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over. This time Windows setup correctly identified Drive 0 Unallocated Space 465.8GB with no warning messages. However, it seems to have hung after I clicked next. It's been sitting on collecting As such I must very much advise against using Dynamic Disks. If you're sure you want to proceed, just right-click on the drive area (to the left) in Disk Management and select the conversion option. Convert both drives. You can then extend your volume D: with the free space on drive 0. Again: Make very sure you want this. .
